Michele Costantini – 1st
“This race has been one of the most intense I’ve even been apart of. The first two stints were all about saving enough fuel to allow us to make the last stint on mediums. And when the time came we were able to put in a good outlap on mediums and get a 1-2-3 for the team. It honestly feels quite surreal to be an iRacing World Championship race winner. This must be one of the greatest achievements of my simracing carreer without a shadow of a doubt and I’m so grateful to the team and to everyone who has supported me throughout this adventure.”
Yohann Harth – 2nd
“Second race of the (iRacing Grand Prix Championship) season and second podium for me. Luck was on my side today, I was pretty sure my race was done at the end of lap 1 with that huge contact from behind coming into the final chicane but I guess I have to thank Dallara and iRacing for building a strong race car. Also a massive shoutout to all the team, all 4 cars in the top 6, that’s mega. Off to Interlagos now, a completely different track compared to the first two but I’m sure we’re have the package to be up front again with all the guys”
Ben Fuller – 3rd
“”Bit of a tricky day on my end, didnt have a good qualifying run and struggled with netcode incidents all race long. Big Congrats to Michele for the win and Yohann for the p2! Proud to be apart of the first Apex Racing Team 1-2-3 in a WCS race. Deserves to be 1-2-3-4, it will come without a doubt. Good day for points but more performance is needed from myself.””
Peter Berryman – 6th
“Feel a little robbed after the race having the chance at a good result taken away out of my control but still very pleased with how I performed to fight my way back for some very valuable points including the extra point for Fastest lap. From a team perspective a huge achievement to go 1-2-3. Hopefully more of the same in Round 3 at Interlagos (in the iRacing Grand Prix Championship)“
